Easter Activities At Crich Toy Library - 12 April 2010
Almost 30 local families bustled into the Glebe on April 12 2010 for the Crich Toy Library Easter Holiday 'Stay & Play' Family Gathering, taking over £200 for the Toy Library funds; the morning was packed with fun Easter activities for kids as well as a range of shopping stalls for parents to peruse.
The kids braved the brisk Spring cold in the Parish garden to hunt for Easter egg tokens which they redeemed for Chocolate inside in the warmth; they spent time beforehand decorating baskets to contain their finds and put together Easter bunny masks.
The Adventure Flow was out to crawl through and pop out of and there was a variety of construction and imaginative toys to play with. They all had a healthy snack and finished off with a lively and active sing-song.
New to Stay and Play is a dedicated baby room for a quieter less rambunctious experience! A wide range of baby soft toys, rattles and tactile and sound toys are laid out on colourful mats.
Parents enjoyed a cup of tea or real coffee and the chance to browse round stalls provided by Forever Living Aloe Vera products, Phoenix cards, Jem Jewellery, Shutterbug Photobooks, Partynight Candles and the Toy Library had on sale Safety cups, Magic Snow & Sqeeze Beadz
Members brought platefuls of cakes to sell at the bring and buy cakes stall which raised over £40 for the Toy Library – many thanks to all who donated and/or bought!

Intergenerational Nursery Rhyme Session At Crich Toy Library - 22nd June 2009
Crich Toy Library mums & tots joined up with Crich Glebe Field Centre Day Care Clients for an “Intergenerational Sing Song” as part of the weekly stay and play session held on Monday 22 June 2009.
Day care Clients and staff shared their experiences of nursery rhymes from their own childhood and those which they sang to their Children and Grandchildren. Mums & tots were able to show the actions to timeless Nursery Rhymes such as Wind the Bobbin Up and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The session proved such a success with Mums and Day Centre Care Clients that it will now become a regular fixture for Crich Toy Library Stay and Play sessions.
